Answer the following questions by directly stating your main idea and discussing it briefly.

1. There are 6 characteristics of culture (pp. 6-9). Please choose one of the characteristics, define it in your own words, and provide a real example from your own experience.
CHANGEBILITY (ADAPTABILITY)
Culture is changing as the improvement era, following the lifestyle and to fulfill the globalization demand. It could occur by refugee, immigration, disaster, and environment. It used to be slow and gradual, we do it subconsciously, but we could really notice when we compare nowadays culture with previous/ old culture in the same place.
Example: the origin of house design in central java (joglo) now is changing into modern style house. In Javanese resident, it is more difficult to find joglo house rather than finding modern one. Just the same with the original culture clothes of java. It is really rare to find Javanese girl wearing kebaya and batik cloth as her skirt with chewing the betel and spittoon on her hand.

2. Choose one culture universal, give example from two different cultures, and then explain the perception of each culture.
LANGUAGE
Javanese
In Javanese we have three language levels; ngoko, kromo alus, and kromo inggil language. It has each own purpose. It differs with whom we talk to, and the higher level is more delicate.
Bahasa Indonesia.
In Bahas Indonesia we do not have any language level. So, we use the same language with everyone we talk to, no matter they are older and need to be appreciated.

3. Discuss how the article ‘Nicolo Conti Finds Java Beyond Civilization, 1444’ illustrate the encounter of two dominant worldview.
