After the fire: some of local resident tried to find good thing among wreckage.
Terrible conflagration burned the biggest bakery factory PT. Rinji in Rembes village, Central Java, Bringin district on Wednesday, November 25. About ten employees were wounded and caused ten million Rupiah financial loss. It began with hard explosion of short circuit electricity on the ceiling from peeled-off cable which laid on the easy wooden house roof frame. Fire spread to burn the whole factory building immediately.
Poor management and negligence of the employee who take care of electricity was the main cause of the conflagration. More over, voltage regulator did not work well to anticipate electricity explosion. “Actually the conflagration could be avoided, if the electricians work well by looking after the electricity circuit”, add local resident blamed insubordination employees. Conflagration occurred when it was about twelve in midday while tens of employees were working. Sprinklings of the fire electricity caused hard explosion in the ceiling followed by huge fire blaze immediately.
There was no chance for working employees to escape from the fire. At least fifteen employees were wounded. They were hospitalized in the closest clinic with rudimentary treatment. Most of them were serious burn wounded. “It needs about three weeks for them to recovery and able for working”, said the nurse who threat the victims. Fortunately, fire fighter able to extinguish the fire only for fifteen minutes before the fire spread to burn surrounding resident. It needs a group of fire fighter consists of fife with one fire fighter truck.
Soon after the fire, some police officers came to the conflagration location. The police officers were still investigating the cause of the fire until noon. Some soldiers and another local resident also tried to find some of good thing among the wreckage to save for the owner.
The fire caused ten million financial losses for the owner. None of the precious thing in the factory could be saved. The fire happened out of blue and too fast to take everything out from the factory. In the low toned voice, the owner stated, “It was difficult to build everything, but it does not take much time to ruin”. The owner seemed hopeless does not know what he should do to assist.
